This week’s Web Roundup is focused on Caribbean artists and sites that showcase their work on the web! The islands all have amazing talent to offer and the internet is one of the best ways to show off these individuals and groups.
The featured image above, for example, is by a immensely talented Trinidadian photographer, Laura Ferreira.

Machel Montano
Some people call him the “King of Soca,” some call him “HD” but to most he’s simply, Mr. Fete! Machel Montano is, without a doubt, one of the most creative, energetic, crowd-pleasing soca artists ever to hit the stage. His music and creativity has been entertaining fans from the time Machel was just a young boy performing tracks like “Too Young to Soca.”
Machel is one of the most, if not the most, inspiring and prolific soca artists out there with fans and supporters throughout the globe. His performances are always elaborate, creative and most importantly…pure energy! He’s had tons of hits throughout the years including “Delirious”, “Higher Than High” and more recently, “Mr. Fete” and the patriotic tribute “Pump Your Flag (PYF)”. Machel has reinvented himself throughout the years as both a solo act and with his former band, Xtatik, and members of his HD family.
MWorld is Machel’s home on the web and the best place to check out Mr. Fete!
